Limitations
Browser-based testing has real advantages, but it is worth being aware of what these tools cannot do:
- Not all key events are detectable in every browser — some system keys (e.g. volume, media buttons) may not register
- Internet speed results are estimates and may differ from dedicated speed testing services or native app results
- Camera and microphone access depends on browser permissions — if permission is denied, the tool cannot function
- Results may vary across different browsers, operating systems, and hardware configurations
- TestMyPC cannot diagnose internal hardware faults, driver problems, or OS-level issues
For detailed hardware diagnosis, professional repair tools or OS-level utilities will always be more thorough than browser-based checks.
