Understanding your GPU score

The benchmark renders a heavy WebGL shader and adapts the workload to your graphics hardware, measuring sustained shader throughput. Because the score is work multiplied by frame rate, fast GPUs are not capped by monitor refresh rate.

Good

The result behaves as expected, remains stable, and matches what you are trying to test.

Average

The tool works, but the result suggests a setting, environment or browser limitation may need attention.

Poor

The result is missing, unstable or clearly different from the expected behaviour. Use the fixes below as your next step.

What this test checks

  • Sustained shader throughput under an adaptive load that targets your GPU's limit.
  • Detected GPU model via the browser's renderer information, shown on the leaderboard.
  • Live frame rate and shader load while the test runs.
  • An optional 60-second stress test comparing early and late performance for throttle detection.

How to understand your results

  • Integrated graphics typically score in the hundreds to low thousands; dedicated gaming cards score many times higher.
  • On battery, or with the browser's hardware acceleration disabled, scores collapse - check both before judging hardware.
  • A blank or generic GPU name means the browser is hiding renderer details for privacy - the score is still valid.
  • Stress-test drops beyond about 15 percent indicate heat build-up in the GPU or shared laptop cooling.

Common problems and fixes

Score is tiny on a gaming PC

Check the browser is using the dedicated GPU, not the integrated one: Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics lets you force high performance for your browser.

WebGL not available

Enable hardware acceleration in your browser settings and update graphics drivers, then restart the browser.

Laptop scores lower than yesterday

Almost always power state: battery saver, unplugged, or a hot room. Benchmarks are only comparable under the same conditions.

Screen flickers during the test

Heavy GPU load can trigger brief flicker on marginal drivers. Update the graphics driver; if flicker appears in games too, investigate cooling and the PSU on desktops.

FAQ

Is this the same as a native GPU benchmark?

No - it measures browser-accessible WebGL throughput, which is ideal for quick comparisons and leaderboards but less exhaustive than native tools.

Why is my GPU name not shown?

Some browsers mask the renderer string for privacy. The benchmark still runs and scores normally.

Does the test use my dedicated GPU or integrated graphics?

Whichever the browser is assigned. On dual-GPU laptops you can force the browser onto the dedicated GPU in your OS graphics settings.

Is a 60-second GPU stress test safe?

Yes - it is ordinary rendering load, the same as a game. Modern GPUs throttle themselves long before any risk.
